2010 Mr. & Miss IDC National Title Contest
An atmosphere of enthusiasm began to take hold as IDC entered its 5th season of the sensational
Mr. & Miss IDC 2010 National Title Contest.
The many hopeful semi-finalists arrived from different parts of the country and began an immediate rehearsal for a group production which would produce an audience captivating presentation. The Junior competitors, under the talents of Mr. Jerome DeVito, learned and performed choreography to the hit track ”Brand New You," while the Senior competitors, under the direction of Mr. Robbie Mackey, took the audience to an exotic land with their performance of "I Go To Rio."
The intensive choreography was not the only thing in store for the young hopefuls as they also underwent an interview and audition process which exposed them to a character building experience. The interview portion of the competition gave the judges an opportunity to gain insight by asking individual questions to the groups of eager interviewees. The imaginative responses to the judges’ questions were amazing to say the least. Testing the abilities to emulate and retain choreography, the audition portion presented another element of the competition for the semi-finalists to attempt to conquer. Semi-finalists were challenged to learn yet another piece of choreography and perform it for the IDC judges giving them a feel for the fast paced, high expectation audition practices used for selecting performers for professional shows.
The undeniable energy and unmatched talent brought to this contest has helped to prove the program to be a successful and desirable portion of IDC's very exciting National Finals.
IDC's title contest was developed to help create a well rounded individual. "We know you are proud of your students, their talents and achievements, but sometimes, one never knows what they are fully capable of. The Mr. & Miss IDC National Title Contest program allows participants to live up to and in many cases far surpass even their own expectations and capabilities."
